Winter Spiti Valley Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: Delhi to Shimla

  • Arrive at Delhi and assemble at RK Ashram or Majnu ka Tila(Tentative) by 9 PM.
  • On-board on your Volvo bus for Shimla.
  • Take an overnight journey.

DAY 02: Shimla to Chitkul/Sangla (Kinnaur valley)

  • Arrive at Shimla by morning and later proceed to Sangla/Chitkul.
  • Afterwards, proceed toward Karcham Wangtoo Dam and then to Sangla/Chitkul.
  • Rest & relax in a guest house/homestay.

DAY 03:  Sangla to Chitkul-Kalpa

  • Today, you’ll be visiting Kalpa
  • Catch a glimpse of the spectacular Kinner Kailash Peak (7549 ft.) before entering Kalpa.
  • The journey continues to Reckong Peo and further up to Kalpa, ultimately reaching your hotel at Kalpa.

DAY 04: Kalpa to Nako Lake-Tabo

  • Start early on a Spiti winter road trip en route over Hindustan Tibet Highway.
  • Pass through the northern parts of Nako, the last village in the Kinnaur district.
  • After visiting the alluring Nako Lake, we proceed to Tabo by crossing a bridge over the Spiti River after Sumdo.
  • The night proceeds with an overnight stay at Tabo.

DAY 05: Tabo – Dhankar -Kaza

  • At the break of dawn, we proceed to Dhankar.
  • On the way to Kaza, the next stop is Dhankar Monastery.
  • Later, ride to the remote town of Kaza.
  • After exploring the town, a night stay at Kaza.

DAY 06: Kaza- Hikkim-Komik-Langza-Kaza

  • Have your breakfast and drive to the renowned Key Monastery.
  • Next stop is Hikkim then the village of Komic (15,092 ft.) housing the highest motorable Tangyud Monastery.
  • Then comes Langza- a popular spot for hunting marine fossils.
  • Drive back to Kaza for an overnight stay.

DAY 07: Kaza to Kalpa

  • The journey continues the following day from Kaza to Kalpa.
  • Spend the night in Kalpa overlooking the Kinnaur Kailash mountains.
  • Have dinner and retire for the day.

DAY 08: Kalpa to Delhi via Shimla

  • The day begins continuing the journey to Shimla.
  • Enjoy the misty roads to the Spiti valley in Winters.
  • In the evening, leave for Delhi on a Volvo bus.

DAY 09: Delhi Arrival

  • The bus will drop you at Kashmiri Gate, Delhi.
