Due to its steep elevation and location at an altitude of over 15,000 feet, Bumla Pass is snowbound for almost the entire year and offers stunning views of the Tibetan plateau. The drive is memorable as it passes through numerous sleepy hamlets and picturesque lakes on the way to the pass.
