Enjoy an effortless hike through the knee-deep snow in winters, loading all your luggage on the pre-paid backpacker mules. Ensuring maximum comfort with this premium package

Kedarkantha Winter Trek & Trekking is considerably more than it appears in images on your computer screen. Not to be confused with the divine trek to Kedarnath, the Kedarkantha trek is a completely different trek. You will journey alongside the peak views of Swargarohini, Kalanag, Bandarpunch, and Draupadi ka Danda, throughout your Kedarkantha trek.

Pitch your tents beside the frozen Juda Ka Talab. According to legend, the lake was created when a drop of Ganga fell here when Lord Shiva opened his dreadlock. Enjoy a fun night of bonfire and stargazing followed by a warm and cozy sleep in your sanitized dual shared tent. Wake up in your spacious tents and head out to the Kedarkantha Base Camp with your designated hiking kits.

The best part about the Kedarkantha Trek Package is hiking in small batches. With a maximum of just 12 hikers, we assure social distancing as the COVID safety protocol. Even at the Kedarkantha height of 12,500 ft from sea level. Besides, with a less crowded batch, you can enjoy more. Rise early for the last climb to the summit peak, which is the most adventurous part of the Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary. Witness the sunrise at the Gharwal region and enjoy your time at the summit top.

Once done, descend back to the base camp to fill up your empty stomachs with hot lunch. Rest for a few more minutes and descend back on the same path to reach Dehradun via Hargaon and Sankri. Ending the Kedarkantha Premium Package.

It is one of India’s first commercial winter treks to be discovered. Originally, the site served as a pasture ground for shepherds and a community temple. It has grown in popularity among trekkers and has become a bustling tourist destination. Thank you, thrill-seeking Indians! Millions of Indian trekkers have been captivated by the Kedarkantha summit. It’s pure beauty mesmerizes everyone.

Best time to visit Kedarkantha Trek

To be honest, the optimum time for this trek is mostly determined by the trekkers. The walk is wonderful in itself, but the experience changes with the seasons. Summer is an excellent season to go on this walk for those who enjoy hiking in a green area with pleasant weather. However, if you want to enjoy some snowy action crossing trees blanketed in fresh snow, then Kedarkantha Winter Trek is the right choice for you. Though it’s tough to pinpoint a specific month as the ideal for this trip. In general, trekkers opt for the winter months to conquer this mountain.

How difficult is the terrain throughout the trek?

The walk begins with a strong climb for a short distance before leveling down in the middle. The Kedarkantha trek path crosses multiple tiny streams, and the terrain can get muddy and treacherous at times.

The terrain has some rocky areas, and you may encounter a few boulders along the way. The final kilometer of ascent to the summit is the steepest and takes the most time.

The flora and animals that you come across along the journey are the nicest part of this environment. There are numerous oak, walnut, chestnut, maple, and apple trees throughout the trip path.

The Kedarkantha trek distance is straightforward for the most part, but it does occasionally become a little more difficult to ascend. Especially during the summit ascent, when the trail becomes steep. Still, because you have plenty of time, trekking over that trail is not an issue.

What about your stay and washroom facilities?

The entire 5 days and 4 nights treks are covered with a properly sanitized homestay on day1 and rest in the dome tents with super comfy mattresses with extra foam and high-quality sleeping bags. Not to mention all of them have a proper functional lavatory system.

Dual occupancy tents are one of our specialties. We equip you with the best alpine dome winter camps in India, with a maximum capacity of two trekkers in one tent. This ensures more space and social distancing at the same time. Of course, if you wish to stay in a triple occupancy tent, we can surely arrange that for you.

The night sky is the nicest part of a hike. You may satisfy your stargazing desires with a sky full of stars that you seldom see in a city sky at 12,000 feet and clear skies. You may also enjoy the perfect stargazing moment with our strategically located campground places.

Trekking in the wilderness also teaches us a lot. One of them is the ability to adapt to the most dangerous conditions. There is no permanent structure and simply dry toilet facilities at high altitudes.
