Mythology behind the Kedarnath Tour
Let’s talk about some mythology you should know before choosing the Kedarnath tour package. It is said that the penance seeking Pandavas were seeking for Lord Shiva, along with their wife Draupadi. It is only he, who can cure them from the sin of annihilating their own kin. However, Lord Shiva wasn’t ready to forgive them and decided to disguise them in form of a bull.
Hiding at Guptkashi, it was Bheem who recognized Lord Shiva incarnated as the bull. He tried to capture him, but couldn’t. The heist started and eventually led to fragmenting the bull into five pieces. Each pieces scattered to different direction, where the hump fell to Kedarnath. The Pandavas and their wife, then received Shiva’s blessing and since then, thousands of visitors keep on visiting to receive blessing from the holiness.
Besides Kedarnath Tour package, people often go for Panch Kedar, which is a trip to the five shrines where the five-part bull fell. For an atheist, the history of this temple might not fill them with surprise. However, it’s unshaken existence for more than 400 years, lasting a mini ice-age (from 1300-1900 AD), and surviving the devasting flash flood in 2013; does makes (or atleast strikes) you to wonder. Sparking an unknown curiosity to visit, see, and experience a holy (or whatever you may want to call) presence amidst the Himalayas. Sending an invite to a breathtakingly beautiful journey with Kedarnath darshan booking.
