Commencing on the 24th, the 5-day JLF 2025 is unarguably one of the world’s biggest literary fairs. Poets, orators, performers and writers will be attending this festival to share talks and exchange opinions with visitors.
Jaipur Literature Festival Schedule
The 18th edition was held from 30 January to 3 February 2025 at Hotel Clarks America in Jaipur. Earlier this festival used to be held at Diggi Palace. However, due to security and traffic, it is now held at Clarks America.
Jaipur Literature Festival is considered the largest literary festival in the world. This year’s theme was “Fractured World” which included intense dialogues on war, conflict and global politics.
Along with this, crime fiction was included as a special theme. It touched the world of fiction-mystery in a folk and literary way.

As per reports over 300 speakers spoke which included speakers from a variety of languages (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Sanskrit, Marathi etc.).

Diversity of Languages: The sessions ranged from Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Odia, Kannada, Urdu, Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Sanskrit.
Eco-friendly event: The event had a special focus on sustainability, such as green practices and eco-friendly arrangements.

- Speeches and pre-sessional highlights:
- Javed Akhtar, one of the Jaipur Literature Festival speakers, launched his book ‘Gyan Seepiyan: Pearls of Wisdom’. He also emphasized the glory of mother tongue in his speech.
- Venki Ramakrishnan (Nobel Laureate) delivered a lecture on the topic of bridge between art and science in the inaugural session.
